I am an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist working to provide those individuals, couples, and families with whom I am privileged to work the information, tools, and practical experience needed to live successfully. I believe very strongly that our feelings, when regarded, provide important information to help modify our thinking and behaviors. Whereas the "why" may elude us what we are experiencing is readily available to help us make better choices. I would not have continued in the profession if I had not believed in hope.
Hope that I can impact my situation, hope that I can change, hope for a better tomorrow. I believe in the intrinsic value of a person's life. Oswald Chambers once wrote: "There is always one fact more in every man’s case about which we know nothing". I grew up in Texas where I completed my coursework and training as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
My work with families and couples has focused on restoring intimate communication and experiences recognizing that communication is not the goal but the path to the change in the relationship. I have also enjoyed working with children and adolescents in expressing and addressing the emotional challenges that the development years bring.
