God intends for us to be happy and content while the struggles of this world constantly attack the very foundation of our mental health. Things like intrusive thoughts of fear, jealously, inferiority, anger, mistrust, unforgiveness, and guilt rob us of our confidence and sense of wellbeing. Obsessive behavior or feelings of anxiety or depression can prevent or erode relationships that add so much to our lives. Healthy work relationships, marriage, and family relationships are all negatively or positively impacted by our perception. Our behavior will not change until our thinking changes. Why continue in pain when there is a relief.
I received my Bachelor of Science from Lee University, my Master of Divinity, Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and my Doctor of Ministry from Pentecostal Theological Seminary. My primary counseling method is CBT with Theocentric (God-Centered) counseling being the foundation. My education is well suited to Scrupulosity (religious OCD).
I was married for 52 years before my wife died! My family consists of 2 adult children, grandchildren, and blended family dynamics. 44 years of my life has been in the ministry and I am excited to introduce Christian-based themes into your therapeutic process.
