My name is Larry Bates. I have a License in Professional Counseling in the state of Oregon. I believe there are many paths to healing and change in one's life, but all of us sometimes get stuck or could use help to handle life’s challenges, and that is where counseling can make a difference. I will meet you where you are in a non-judgmental and supportive way to begin to explore what brings you to seek counseling and what changes you hope to achieve. My goal is to support clients to achieve lasting positive change.
My client focus is typically individual sessions with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, life transition, stress, self-esteem/confidence and grief/loss. I work collaboratively with clients to develop goals for treatment that are meaningful and achievable.
I strive to create a relaxed, supportive and safe environment. I utilize active listening to ensure clients feel heard and respected. I have a calm, accepting demeanor and I work to create a safe space where healing and growth can take place.
