They are transgender, queer, bisexual, non-monogamous, formerly religious, and often have untraditional family structures, including chosen family and deconstructed gender roles. I know that therapeutic work does not happen in a vacuum, and it is imperative that we acknowledge our political, structural, and personal contexts. Our sessions can be a place of immense joy, immeasurable rage, and revolutionary change.
My office is warm and inviting, with comfy seats and soft lighting. I’m known for being laid back and inviting. I want my clients to be comfortable in session, so this means that we can think outside of the box; let’s knit or doodle while we talk, be irreverent, have coffee, and ultimately, be our most authentic selves together.
