I am a clinical social worker in practice for almost 20 years, working with children and young adolescents ages 6 to 15 and their parents. My practice focuses on supporting children to develop the tools, strategies, and self-awareness to navigate the inevitable stresses and challenges. With compassion and humor, I help my clients learn to lead fulfilling lives, have meaningful relationships, and be more productive in school.
I have extensive experience working in public and private school settings as a school counselor. I integrate evidence-based and traditional therapeutic approaches in my work, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, relational, role-playing, and strength-based techniques.
I have particular experience treating anxiety and depression and helping children cope with divorce, loss, and other challenges. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from Smith College. I hold a post-graduate certificate in Cognitive and Behavioral Interventions from Boston University School of Social Work.
