LaNiña Mompremier
Psychologist, PhD
Dr. M's ideal client has experienced many hardships, particularly in childhood. However, they are interesting in assessing their life, their strengths and working together towards healthy goals to manage depression, anxiety, and any stress that might impede achieving a stable healthy life. Anchored on the client's worldview/spirituality/guiding principles, we navigate towards a client's ideal self. We work to dispel shame and self-defeating thoughts/behaviors that create an unhealthy self-image and are a barrier to change. Dr. M works with clients to commit to lifestyle changes that sustain positive mental and emotional health.
Dr. M enjoys serving and affirming clients of diverse backgrounds. She has specialized training from Gallaudet University in providing Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing adults with psychotherapy services in sign language. Treatment is client focused and may incorporate multiple therapy approaches depending on treatment goals and client values.
