I am a strength-based psychotherapist committed to the unique process of each client and each therapeutic moment. I work with a balanced approach between a solution-focused, positive psychology and the deeper work of existential, psychodynamic or mindfulness-based interventions. I specialize in life and developmental transitions where symptoms such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, or triggered trauma increase in intensity and frequency and threaten that which we cherish. But I view the nagging presence and awareness of our problems as proof that we are ready and capable of dealing with them.
I aim to assist the natural healing function of the psyche with effective coping skills and strategies to gain control of our actions and thoughts. This employs a process-based, holistic approach to tease out insights and promote healing that involves every aspect of the individual, with mindful attention.
Though my speciality is with teens through the twenties, I provide therapy for couples, families and individuals across the age and psychological spectrum. All our problems are opportunities for transformation. I work with clients to help facilitate these changes to discover and maintain their authentic and happy selves.
