We all endure moments of joy, sorrow, clarity, and confusion. Every experience provides an opportunity to choose how to respond. Our choices determine the quality of our lives. Our happiness, contentment, and emotional stability depend on our choices. Sympathetic and supportive counsel can help. As a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and 27 years of experience with a broad range of people, ages, and difficulties, I look forward to being your counselor.
As a lifespan psychologist, I have worked with children in terms of emotional and behavioral difficulties; adolescents and young adults in terms of establishing their identities, forming relationships, leaving home, and clarifying long-term goals; adults adjusting to mid-life challenges; and geriatrics coping with aging.
My ideal patient is motivated and committed to counseling. My practice uniquely balances solution focus and sensitivity. I use psychodynamic psychotherapy, family systems therapy, and behavior modification. During the first sessions we will become acquainted and develop a treatment plan. I am passionate about this work because it is mutually healing.
