I enjoy working with individuals and families with a variety of mental health needs. I especially enjoy the experience of working with teens and their families to provide stabilization services for patients in crisis or care following psychiatric hospitalization. I enjoy working with couples and adult individuals that are seeking change, but may not know how to start making that change. I have also enjoyed my experiences working with children and teens that are classified as having Severe Mental Illness.
I have a unique combination of lived experience and professional training that has helped me to develop my professional skills. Life can make us feel isolated, uncertain, and at times even inadequate to the problems we face. My personal challenges guided me throughout my education and career and remain a core element in my theoretical approach with clients.
My goal is to help others learn to rise up and meet their challenges with confidence. I want to teach others how to find and strengthen the support that will help them achieve their best life. I want to be a resource to parents when they don’t know where to find answers to new and unexpected situations, and be a source of healing for my patients.
