My name is Lafarro Williams and I am a licensed Independent Clinical social worker in Washington state. I have over 7 years of experience assisting individuals manage their everyday lives by treating mental health and/or substance concerns with the use of therapeutic approaches and practical interventions. I love to listen attentively and responsibly to everyone individual which offers me the honor to work with them.
I feel my skills and expertise are best utilized with individuals who struggle to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, and substance use, and those in need of learning basic skills. For the last 4 years, I have worked with those who are diagnosed with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar.
I utilize a Collaborative communication style when providing therapy, where the client and I work together to understand their issues and create a treatment plan. I utilize active listening skills to attempt to truly understand the client's experiences and perspective.
