Ladan Hannani Safvati, LMFT, ATR, Marriage & Family Therapist in Tarzana
Would you like to deal with life's stresses effectively, to make sense of and manage uncomfortable feelings such as sadness, anger, fear, worry, anxiety, jealousy, guilt .......? Would you like to improve family relationships, raise healthy, happy and confident children even in most challenging situations? Do you need marital or premarital counseling? Do you want to improve self-esteem and achieve personal growth? With my compassionate and non-judgmental approach, I will create a safe place for you to explore your thoughts and emotions. I use different psychological theories and therapeutic techniques based on your personal needs. Together we discover ways to reach your goals.
Trained at Cedars-Sinai, Department of Child Psychiatry, I use art therapy in working with children and adolescents to help them express themselves, build on their self-esteem and cope with life challenges such as parents' divorce, school problems, academic, peer and sibling issues, and other emotional and behavioral problems.
I use art therapy particularly to access painful feelings and experiences that are less accessible through talk therapy alone and promote deeper understanding of underlying issues and much faster healing. Art therapy can help you express yourself and your needs freely in a tangible and concrete way. No artistic skills are necessary.
