About
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families of diverse backgrounds to successfully overcome a variety of problems, including depressive, anxiety, trauma- and stressor-related, eating, obsessive-compulsive, substance use and addictive disorders; difficulties with interpersonal relationships or life transitions; and challenges related to education or employment. However, there is no prerequisite for engaging in therapy, which can be a preemptive measure to care for and strengthen psychological and emotional well-being, a catalyst for personal development and self-actualization, and mechanism to enhance quality of life.
I customize my approach to best meet the treatment needs of each person. This includes providing psycho-education and utilizing evidence-based practices to alleviate distressing symptoms; facilitating introspection and insight to identify meaning and purpose; and ensuring that all feel heard, seen, and validated, which can be reparative, healing experiences.
Intelligence and strength are essential to recognizing the need for additional help to effectively address issues, and if you are reading this, then you possess both. You are capable of positive growth, which can be achieved with an empathetic, understanding, attuned therapist who is honored to be a part of peoples' journeys for better mental health.
