Experiencing uncomfortable emotions such as shame, anxiety, sadness and anger often leave us feeling stuck and out of control. It doesn't have to be that way. With patience and gentleness, we will focus on emotional and psychological growth to facilitate a sense of balance. I have been working in the mental health field for 8 years and my focus has been on working with teens and adults who are being called to go deeper and explore the “whys” of their life; those who are struggling with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety and depression. Those who are searching for profound change and want to shift from surviving to thriving.
My office is in a horse barn and you may get the opportunity to work with my horses during in-person sessions. The traditional and holistic modalities that may be utilized are CBT, Somatic + Attachment Focused EMDR, ACT, somatic practices and non-riding Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. These modalities will be incorporated based on your needs and at your pace.
