Hello! If you are looking for a therapist to listen to you as the expert in your life and explore your thought processes which have led to life events and circumstances, then I may be therapist for you. We find ways to cope with depression, anxiety, stress, uncontrollable life events such as divorce, moving, and the expected events of adjusting to the maturation process throughout life that are not always the healthiest. Even with the best plans and the best support systems, we may need to re-evaluate so we can update our thinking processes to ensure we are present in life and attempting to make our best choices.
I utilize an integrated approach of Person Centered/Humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies. Also using polyvagal theory regarding the importance of the vagus nerve in learning how stress manifests in your body to trigger emotional responses. I have also had training in EMDR and other trauma informed approaches.
