I have been practicing as a therapist for the past 5 years, utilizing a range of evidence-based modalities used to help assist a client on their journey to healing. My approach as a therapist is client centered, because this is your care, so your needs and voice deserves to be heard and be a focal point for treatment. I have a background working in community health, and intensive outpatient care, giving me the opportunity to work with various different ages, cultures, and backgrounds. I am EMDR and CBT certified, and trained in DBT, ACT, IFS, play therapy, art therapy. I always strive to continue to learn and grow in this field to meet the needs of client.
During our first meeting, whether that be a 15 minute consultation or an intake session, my focus is on building rapport and creating a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and supported. This space is to ensure goals and expectations are are understood for our work together, and outline practical steps towards progress together.
