Some of us hold immense pain resulting from isolation, shame, humiliation, oppression, and marginalization felt individually and collectively. My clinical work is rooted in anti-racism and informed by Relational-Cultural Theory. I utilize body-based trauma informed techniques and approaches to meet my clients’ needs. Together, we will collaborate in identifying both individual and systemic elements that have impacted your well being and unlock your full potential by uncovering the strengths, courage, and solutions that are already inside of you. I believe healing happens when we are able to deeply connect to ourselves and others.

Many of us struggle to break free from long-standing patterns that become ingrained in how we relate to ourselves and others. These patterns can pervade our daily lives, pulling us away from genuine presence in the fleeting, vital experiences that give life its depth, while hindering our growth and success. They can leave us disconnected from meaning, belonging, and a sense of possibility. Yet by recognizing and loosening them, space opens not only for greater presence, growth, and connection, but also for a more authentic engagement with the questions of existence itself—how we love, create, and find purpose.

I see clients virtually and in person- in a cozy, home-like space designed to help you feel safe, comfortable, and heard.
After a decade in nursing, I followed my passion into Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a journey that’s been both transformative and deeply rewarding. While the path has brought many changes and challenges, it has also been a time of meaningful growth. Nursing will always be a part of who I am, but above all, I remain committed to being a lifelong learner and healer. Healing comes in many forms and is not a one size fits all. It doesnt always look like a dramatic breakthrough or a single “aha” moment.

Sometimes we just need a band-aid to get us through a rough patch, and other times a deeper dive into long-standing patterns and struggles is the right focus - both are valid approaches! Choosing the right therapist is an important step, so let's chat about questions you might have and make sure you get the right fit. I work with individuals, couples, and children. I have specialized training in EMDR, Play Therapy, Behavioral Neuroscience, and have over 15 years of clinical experience. I am currently an LPC Board-approved clinical supervisor as well as an adjunct professor in Loyola's Counseling program.

In addition to weekly therapy, I offer a 2-day intensive (10 hours) format for couples therapy in-person in Seattle, WA.
Many of us desire (and intend!) to make changes and yet find ourselves stuck in the same feedback loop, struggling to find freedom from social/cultural/personal scripts, increasingly disconnected from self and others. I work with couples and relationships of all structures from a culturally-informed, attachment-focused, and systemic perspective who are ready to make some radical changes in themselves and their dynamic. My work is primarily with folks in interracial family systems, blended families, and those with histories of interpersonal trauma. Together, we will work to restructure areas of your dynamic that need to be repaired.

You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, out of control, or angry. You could be struggling in relationship with others (friend, spouse, child, parent) and need hope that it can improve. Grief is often sneaky, and you may not realize that the way you're feeling is tied to a loss of some kind. Perhaps you have difficulty staying focused or have a deeply ingrained desire to over-achieve and it's burning you out. If you've experienced something that has a grip on you keeping you from being well, you are not alone. You are valuable.

Therapy has the ability to significantly impact the quality of your life. To restore what has been lost. To find hope, meaning, and purpose. I understand that it is not an easy process to get here. But you will not be walking through it alone. My office is a safe place to begin your journey. There is hope and this can get better.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
