I offer in person and telehealth, however, I always start with in person sessions to allow us to get to know each other better.
Helping and problem solving are my passion. I became a Social Worker so I could do just that. My goal is to work with my clients as a team so together we can tackle whatever issues they want to work on. I specialize in anxiety disorders, adolescents and young adults, working with parents and children on behavioral problems, ADHD, family communication issues, depression, and more. In addition to helping clients I am available to be a clinical supervisor to LMSW's seeking their clinical license.

I offer therapy sessions in-person in a comfortable, inviting, private sessions or on-line.
You’ve spent a long time being 'strong,' but inside, you might feel exhausted, unheard, or disconnected from the person you used to be. Whether it’s the constant hum of anxiety, the heavy cloud of depression, or the lingering echoes of past trauma, these experiences can make the world feel like an unsafe or lonely place.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. With many years of experience across diverse settings, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals/families during life’s most vulnerable moments. I aim to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can take a deep breath & reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked or put on hold. Healing doesn’t always have to be heavy; it can be honest, curious, and even a little lighthearted.

Life’s challenges can often lead to feelings of discouragement, feeling overwhelm, and disappointment. The good news is that hope, and inner growth is just a phone call away. Together, we can navigate through the murky waters of life, while building a new foundation of emotional wellness and freedom.

Although I highly value the intimacy of in-office sessions, I also offer Zoom sessions.
All people learn differently, so I use both words and diagrams to illustrate ideas. I specialize in transactional analysis (to teach communication skills), Jungian ideas of adult development, and family systems theory--all of which sounds terrifying. But I'll break them down into images on a whiteboard, and you'll be amazed how they will "stick."

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
