Counseling is not just an educational endeavor for me, it is my true life’s passion. As my primary spiritual/natural gift, my purpose on earth is to utilize my counseling skills to serve others in any capacity that I can. We have all felt sad, angry, lonely, misunderstood, unforgiven, misused, abused, fed up, and so on and so forth. Our goal in therapy would be to examine your emotional well being and how it impacts your life. While you process through everything from past trauma to current conflicts, it is significant to know that your growth and healing is what is most important to me.

I am able to accept new clients and have immediate availability both in person and virtually.
Do you feel stuck? Do you need to get to the core of your problems? Are you overwhelmed by grief? Do you self medicate with drugs or alcohol? If traumatic memories haunt you while continuing to impact your relationships, sleep, and mood, consider Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) My clinical experience has been with teens, college students, adults and families. EMDR works even if you are unable to recall all of the traumatic event. Clients tell me they want to change but don't know how. Let me show you how to begin. I watched a video where therapists rated methods of therapies; all ranked EMDR as 10/10 to assist with issues.

I provide in person & telehealth services in Baton Rouge, LA and telehealth in TN.
Going to therapy can be an intimidating prospect. That’s why I aim to make the process as relaxed and down-to-earth as possible. I show up to sessions as my authentic self, and I want you to do the same. As a person-centered and affirming therapist, I believe that we all deserve self-love, healthy and fulfilling relationships, and a life of purpose and joy. I believe that we can heal from past traumas, find our own power, and experience alignment in mind, body, and spirit. The work isn't easy, but I bring humor and humanity into it, and I value the therapeutic relationship.

Trying to manage the stress in our relationships can be overwhelming, frustrating, and painful. Are you questioning the commitment you made, and wondering if things can get any better? Did an event happen causing your relationship to change? Do you want to take the next step in your commitment, but would like to identify strengths and examine potential roadblocks before moving forward? Maybe you're doing well, but could strengthen intimacy, communication, or understanding within your relationship.

Are you struggling with relationships, anxiety, or depression? Has daily stress become so overwhelming that it interferes with work, school, or parenting? Is a painful or traumatic event surfacing as a loss of control, fear, and profound sadness? Left unchecked, these concerns can negatively impact our health and prevent us from experiencing a full range of emotions. I have seen the transformative power therapy has in the lives of individuals and families.

I offer in-person and telehealth therapy to fit your needs!
My ideal client is thoughtful, capable, and quietly exhausted. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or the emotional shifts that come with pregnancy, postpartum, or parenting. On the outside, they function; on the inside, they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that don’t make sense. They want more than coping skills — they want clarity, steadiness, and relief. Their goal isn’t to “fix” themselves, but to feel calmer, more confident, and less at war with their own brain. My ideal client wants to feel more like themselves again, because being stuck on autopilot isn’t living, it's surviving.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
