| español Not knowing how to process our emotions can lead us to deal with situations inadequately or it can bring on stress. We all want to do the best that we can, but at times, it can feel like we are not meeting those expectations. Sometimes we just need someone to assist or guide us in understanding our personal, social/emotional, educational or career problems, which will then lead us to better mental health. I use various psychotherapeutic techniques and counseling interventions to assist clients in acquiring coping skills, healthy mechanism, and appropriate tools to assist them in improving their mental health.
I have over 8 years of counseling experience in various settings. My experience ranges from providing one on one psychotherapy sessions for couples, children and individuals to conducting evaluations. Recently I worked at a crisis clinic where I conducted psychiatric assessments to determine appropriated level of care in the least restrictive environment.
Talking to someone about things that we ourselves don't understand can be just as difficult as asking for help. But learning how we respond to situations, understanding our emotional issues, and processing events in our life can be empowering.
