Struggling with substance use disorders can often be lonely, isolating and confusing. There is a lot of help offered out there, but so often what's being offered can be confusing and conflicting. Is addiction a behavior? A spiritual malady? A disease? Or is it something more? My own path of recovery took me many attempts and eventually led me to school to seek the science behind substance use disorders, to recovery rooms, to many therapists for personal recovery, and to lots of different religious avenues in search of meaning and understanding. What I found has illuminated my own path and practice. I love to pass these insights on.
My passion is in treating individuals with Substance Use Disorders. I have a very non-traditional approach to my practice. While I maintain a physical office, I almost never use it. Much of my focus is on helping people get out of their heads and into their bodies. I meet clients at their residences, or in local parks- contact me and I'll explain more. :-)
Nothing about this is easy. But it is so absolutely worth it. With work, focus, and determination things can get easier. You can live a life that you are madly in love with. You deserve that! We all do!!! People in recovery are my favorite kinds of people. We are the people who have suffered, struggled, and overcome. Recovery is not easy. It's SO worth it!
