At times it can be challenging to cope with the obstacle's life can throw our way. I am passionate about working with individuals achieve their personal goals. I have experience working with couples, adolescents, and adults from many different diverse backgrounds. I specialize in treating trauma, eating disorders, and pregnancy related concerns including infertility and infant loss. In addition, I work with various other mental health needs including depression, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use disorders. Benitez Counseling also offers Drug and Alcohol Assessments.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which can be helpful to reduce emotional distress in trauma related disorders. I also devote my practice in the treatment of Eating Disorders for adults and common issues related to this disorder including self-esteem and body image concerns.
My therapeutic approach emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive and safe environment to promote healing and peace. I look forward to meeting with you.
