I have over thirty years of training and experience in assessing and treating mental health and life-skills issues. I have provided treatment to individuals, couples, families, teenagers and children. I value the confidentiality of my clients above all else; what you bring to me IS your life story and I treat that privilege as what it is...something to be treasured and protected! Beginning treatment can be overwhelming and angst producing, I will do my best to provide an inviting and comfortable environment that you can relax in, knowing you are respected and honored in my office.
During individual sessions I wish to know what the client needs. When working with families I assess their communication, parent/child dynamics and discipline styles. When working with teens and children I work with various modalities to help them tell me their stories and ensure they feel empowered.
I have extensive experience working with children ( ages 4 and up) and teens, including diagnosing age related issues. I have, also, worked with seniors who are parenting their grandchildren and the unique issues that brings. I have done a great deal of trauma work with all ages.
