I bring a compassionate and understanding, yet light and playful energy to therapy. As both a therapist and a client, I have had the opportunity to both witness and experience the healing power of therapy. Throughout life we all encounter pain, traumas, and societal messages that shape how we interact in the world and disconnect us from ourselves. We often confuse these painful experiences and their fallout with who we are. Our true selves get buried under our pain, fear, and years of messages about who we “should” be. Therapy gives us the space to step back into our authenticity and reconnect to who we are.
I operate from a holistic perspective and believe that while cognitive skills/tools are helpful, they are often band-aids for deeper issues and it is essential to incorporate all aspects of health into the healing process. My goal is to not only reduce suffering, but assist clients in rediscovering a sense of wonder, enjoyment, and enthusiasm about life.
I fundamentally believe that the client sitting in front of me is the expert and that my role isn’t to give answers, but to provide space for clients to find their own solutions and develop a greater sense of self-trust. I work with clients of all ages, helping them identify and heal their core wounds through a strengths-based, individualized approach.
