Hello, I am an experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in treating Trauma, Chronic Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, ADHD, Life Transition issues, and Stress. I am trained in IBSR, EMDR, DBT, EFT, and CBT and Yoga for Trauma. We can work together so you feel comfortable, using traditional talk therapy, Body/Mind approaches or a combination of the two. Most people come to counselilng when they are stuck, frustrated and feel they aren't able to move forward with their lives, hopes and dreams. Taking the first step isn't easy, but the beauty is that you've started your new journey already!
As a Somatic Therapist I treat the whole person, not just the cognitive aspect of a client. I use IBSR, a modality that resets the nervous system to better address mental/emotional issues. I believe that all mental health issues have a basis in trauma and stress. I am a registered Yoga Instructor and can offer specific yoga poses for trauma and and anxiety.
I am an ND, Dr. of Naturopathy, Registered Yoga teacher, and a NIA dance instructor. When treating a client, I take the whole person into account; mind, body and spirit. I also promote infant attachment using Infant Massage.
