My unique approach to psychotherapy begins with you. I listen deeply to the narrative of your past, as well as the story you would like to live into. Your authentic life is one that can be cultivated through an active and creative healing process that centers self-discovery. We can work together to help you find a new relationship with embodiment by learning about your nervous system and what is stored there. Then, we gently move toward repatterning and awakening – aligning thoughts, feelings, and behavior with your true values. I integrate trauma theory, ART, depth psychology, attachment, existential, and anti-oppression lenses.
This is me and one of my three bunnies, Misty Moon.
I am a licensed psychologist and I specialize in helping people with ongoing symptoms of: complex post traumatic stress disorder, disordered eating, perfectionism, codependency, and anxiety disorders. I also have training and expertise in issues of race, fostering/adoption, relationships, parenting, and 12-step work.
I utilize assessment and believe in the importance of accurate diagnosis to understand symptoms and direct treatment. I also know that you are not a collection of symptoms.
