My areas of focus are: anxiety, grief, mindfulness techniques and spirituality. I believe the mind, body and spirit are deeply connected, and I combine my training in psychology with my experience as a massage therapist, herbalist, and reiki practitioner to address all of these aspects of healing. My counseling approach is relational and strengths-based. Together, we will build a safe and trusting relationship to explore what you need to heal by drawing from a variety of modalities to address your needs: supportive talk therapy; mindfulness approaches; body-centered awareness; and self-care bodywork techniques / movement.
I have experience working with adults and adolescents in the areas of anxiety, substance abuse, women's issues, parenting, grief, and spirituality. My focus and practice provide a holistic, integral approach to help one slow down and find balance. Together, we create a therapeutic plan that works for you with the use of different modalities.
I am less interested in labels or diagnostic categories and more interested in the exploration of you. In addition to academic training, I have had life experience personally with some of these issues and with those close to me, and bring an intimate level of understanding and empathy to the therapeutic process.
