I find great joy in working with people across the lifespan, but especially adolescence through middle adulthood. I will work with you on defining your goals for therapy, whether you want to improve your coping, work through communication struggles, build self-esteem, or explore your identity.
Employing a primarily person-centered approach, I draw techniques from many different therapeutic orientations and will work with you to find what suits your needs best. Our strongest therapeutic tool is the relationship we build through our work together, through techniques based in cognitive-behavioral therapies as well as expressive therapies.
I believe that the key principle of therapy is that you are doing the best that you can with what you have at this moment. I believe it is my job to help you discover additional tools to manage through life’s difficulties. I strive to be open-minded and nonjudgmental, and always believe that you are the expert on yourself. I am just here to help.
