I aim to work with musicians and others in the creative field who experience the negative consequences (such as anxiety and depression) of issues such as employment precarity, financial instability, marginal status, exploitation, overwork, relationship strain, and a poor social safety net. Expanding internal/external resourcing, improving your sense of self-value and worth, processing trauma, addressing mental health concerns, and feeling seen, heard and supported may be a handful of the needs/goals you have. Caring for yourself, connecting with community, and making intentional choices can vastly improve your overall well-being.
Though I am new to my work as a therapist, I have a lot of life experience under my belt. As a self-employed musician of low socioeconomic status, I understand how these forms of marginalization impact one's mental health and well-being. As a present, curious, caring, and open-minded person, I'll work with you to identify and address your unique needs/goals.
