I specialize in disordered eating, body-focused concerns, anxiety disorders, complex trauma, and identity exploration (i.e. gender, sexuality, etc). I work from a trauma-informed lens, with a holistic and person-centered approach. I aim to create an affirming space that encourages personal reflection, growth, and self-empowerment through curiosity and compassion. I strongly believe that the mind and body work symbiotically, and that when we become more attuned to our bodies, there is much potential for new insight and a deeper connection to our innate Self.
I enjoy integrating therapeutic techniques to meet individual client needs and typically incorporate behavioral skills training, internal systems (parts) work, somatic and mindfulness tools such as guided imagery and breathing techniques, experiential activities, and expressive arts exploration in our sessions.
Collaboration is essential to the therapeutic process; my role is not to lead, but to walk with you as you move towards a greater understanding of yourself and your desired change. It takes great courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and take the first steps in seeking support. I look forward to working with you on your journey!
