Legacy Family Counseling provides therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families looking to heal and grow. I specialize in working with healing emotional injuries and mental barriers. I also support clients as they integrate faith and spirituality into their journey towards healing. The primary approaches include Internal Family Systems and EMDR in unburdening the inner person from traumatic experiences. Therapy will involve working with what is known as your inner critic. We will work to not only understand your inner critic but help this part of you transform to help you in better ways.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in complex trauma I am interested in how relationships affect thought, emotions, and behaviors and vice versa. Relationships are a contact sport! In my couples work I use attachment based approaches that build empathy and trust. I also enjoy working with men who are struggling to connect emotionally.
I believe that every person has story and is on a journey. I admire my clients and deeply respect the shoes they've walked in. Rather than jumping to conclusions I enjoy the process of clients to telling their own story. I believe in a partnership between myself and the client. Although I teach my clients, my clients ultimately teach me invaluable lessons.
