About
I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I am a believer that counseling is a place where an individual can work to understand themselves (developing self-awareness) and manage themselves (managing body, mind, spirit). My job is to help you in your journey of personal growth. Every person has unique and valuable skills within them. Our goal in therapy is to find what you want to change, what those unique skills are, and to work toward your goals. Often times people come to therapy because they feel disconnected and struggling. Our therapy will be a place for rejuvenation.
My style is a combination of several approaches: person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed care, self-care, & mindfulness combined with CBT. I specialize in treating anxiety and trauma in adolescents (ages 12-27). I provide individual (ages 6 and up), family, and couples therapy.
In my sessions, I provide empathy, encouragement, and active listening. I will be straightforward while offering compassion. I believe that authenticity and honesty are essential for trust and rapport. Those closest to me would say I'm laid back, full of positive energy, and very comfortable being me.
