I graduated from Morehead State University with a Masters Degree in School Counseling, then complete the coursework for my Clinical Counseling Masters. I recently completed my coursework at University of Kentucky in Behavior Analysis and hope to receive my BCBA credientals soon! I work with persons with anxiety and depression to develop coping strategies for those mental illnesses. My practice currently focuses on adults with the aforementioned mental health concerns, parenting concerns, and LBGTQ related concerns.

We are a private counseling practice in Lexington. Shannon Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her bachelor's degree from Campbellsville University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky. She has over 14 years of experience in outpatient, in-home, and school-based settings. She works with children, adolescents, families, and adults. She is trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, mindfulness practices, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Her treatment areas include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anger management, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, teen substance abuse, self-harming, and stress from life events.

While I have experience working in a dual-diagnosis treatment center for those struggling with substance abuse, I also have experience working with clients living with the effects of trauma, mood disorders like anxiety and depression, self-harm and suicide ideation, OCD tendencies and psychosis. In the counseling office I am supportive, non-judgmental and empathetic while maintaining a direct and solution-oriented approach to help you achieve your goals. He received his master's degree in Counseling and Human Development and his bachelor's degree in Human Services and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. He utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). He works with clients ages 6 to 65 and specializes in adjustment disorder, anger management, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, depression, LGBT services, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and stress management.

Caitie Pennington is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Kentucky. Caitie has worked with adolescents, transitional youth, and adults in intensive in home services and has transitioned to private practice. Caitie utilizes a variety of therapeutic practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma systems therapy, motivational interviewing, and family behavioral therapy to assist adolescents, teens, and adults in achieving their goals. Caitie builds rapport and comfort with patients and encourages their voice to create personal and achievable goals.

Dorothy "Holli" West is a licensed professional clinical counselor. She completed her master's degree in mental health and rehabilitation counseling, graduate work and her bachelor's degree in sociology at the University of South Florida. She has more than 25 years of experience in various inpatient and outpatient settings. She has advanced training in trauma informed care and resolution, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, the treatment of substance abuse and dependence, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices for mental and emotional wellbeing.

William David Back earned his master's degree in education and his bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Kentucky. He has over 9 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. His specialty areas include anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), seasonal affective disorder and substance use. He has training in and utilizes eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). He sees adolescents and adults for individual, couples and family therapy.
