I have over 30 years experience as a Licensed Psychologist helping adults with stress management, depression and bipolar disorders, anxiety, grief/loss, couple issues, work-related problems, etc. I work collaboratively with my clients using my own modification of "Multimodal" and "Multitheoretical Integrative" Therapies, a comprehensive approach to counseling that takes all areas of human functioning into consideration ( mental, physical, behavioral, emotional, interpersonal, spiritual, etc.). I have traditional Christian ethics but don't impose those values on my clients, working with those from any faith.

I provide both counseling and psychological testing/evaluation to teens and adults. Both services will explore current difficulties in your daily functioning, impact of life events, personality traits, and how your behavior may be influenced by the environment around you. I primarily focus on ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Mood disorders, and ASD for counseling and testing, while exploring differential diagnosis for evaluations as well.

My approach therapy is gentle, person centered, nonjudgmental and eclectic. Areas of expertise are in management of mood disorders such as bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder, psychosis, OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder. I use a variety of evidenced based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, CPT and mindfulness. I often use interventions that are Somatic (body) and Cognitive based. Interventions are tailored in a way that consider an Indvidual's goals, cultural background, beliefs and personality type.

I have always desired to understand feelings, behavior and the human mind; always been driven toward solving the questions that start with why. However, after leading many spontaneous counseling sessions with clients, witnessing the empowering feeling it brings to simply aid someone find a way forward, instead, I also became driven toward solving the questions that start with how. I would deem it a privilege to take the time with someone to answer how they can move forward from their situation and how they can deal with whatever hand life has dealt them.

My approach is laid-back, and person centered; the majority of the sessions I conduct are typically directed by the client. My own struggle with mental health issues began at a very young age. I have dealt with depression and anxiety- later figuring out that I had gone undiagnosed with ADD. I have personally participated in therapy services, and based on those experiences have tailored my approach to counseling based on what is most affective. We all deserve a safe space in which to be heard without judgement, and it is important to find a professional that you can relate to when you need help.
