I prefer to work with teenagers and young adults identify goals for themselves and accomplish these goals. I utilize psychoeducation and CBT techniques in order to help them achieve their goals. Working in a high school setting, I have also learned how important it is that members of the LGBTQ community have supports. I have helped to establish the GSA in one of our local high schools in order to help have this support available to them.

My goal as a therapist is to help individuals achieve their highest level of functioning based on their stage of development. I recognize that oftentimes trauma and toxic stress block people from accessing their authentic selves which leads to a feeling of being “stuck.” Moreover, these blocks must be worked through to avoid reenacting harmful intra- and inter-personal patterns of interaction.
