You are “the strong one,” everyone leans on, confident and grounded in your faith, but deep down, you're struggling to hold yourself together, carrying hidden grief and scars, wondering if anyone sees the fragility behind your strength. Despite being resilient and capable, you constantly adjust to life transitions, unmet expectations, and deal with disappointment, depression, and anxiety. You feel stuck, vulnerable, lack support, and question God's will. You're ready to make a change, get to the root of your problems, let go of past traumas, express emotions without shame, and live life authentically. I want to help you get there.

How do I know if I need therapy after pregnancy loss?
Pregnancy loss can bring intense emotional and physical changes. While there is no “right” way to feel afterward, many people experience deep sadness, anxiety, anger, guilt, or numbness. These reactions are common, especially in the days and weeks after a loss. However, if these feelings begin to interfere with daily life, relationships, sleep, work, or your ability to care for yourself, therapy may be helpful. Therapy may also be a good next step if you feel stuck in guilt or self-blame, or if your grief feels overwhelming or prolonged. Most importantly, you do not have to wait for symptoms to feel severe to seek help. Therapy can provide support at any point after pregnancy loss and may also help with related concerns, such as anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or fear about a future pregnancy.
How can therapy help after miscarriage?
Therapy can offer a supportive space to process the grief, shock, anger, guilt, or numbness that may follow a miscarriage. A therapist can help validate the loss, support you in coping with painful reminders or memories, and reduce self-blame. Miscarriage and other forms of pregnancy loss can also increase the risk of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A therapist can help you understand your symptoms and provide targeted support based on what you are experiencing. Pregnancy loss can also affect relationships. Partners may grieve differently, which can lead to misunderstanding, emotional distance, or conflict. Therapy can help individuals or couples communicate more openly, understand each other’s reactions, and support each other through the loss.
What therapeutic approaches are used for pregnancy loss?
The best therapeutic approach depends on what the person is struggling with most. If trauma symptoms are a major concern, approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) may help people process distressing memories connected to the loss. If intrusive thoughts, guilt, or anxiety are the main concern, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help people identify painful thought patterns and develop coping strategies to manage them. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help people make space for painful emotions while reconnecting with their values.
Can couples therapy help after a pregnancy loss?
Couples therapy can be very helpful after pregnancy loss. Partners may experience the same loss in different ways; for instance, one person may want to talk about it often, while the other may cope by trying to move forward. These differences can create tension in a relationship, even when both people are grieving. A couples therapist can help partners better understand each other’s responses, communicate needs more clearly, and discuss next steps after the loss. This may include conversations about emotional support, intimacy, family boundaries, medical decisions, or whether and when to try for another pregnancy.
