I rely on my faith, an integrative education, and continual study of Ericksonian Hypnosis (please ask). My 28yr marriage to Jennifer, who has similar training in marriage & family therapy, and 4 kids--they all add greatly to my knowledge, awareness, and experience. Bridging good science, spirituality, and responsible biblical teachings while assisting my clients to recognize their resources defines my role as therapist. I am an emerging Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. My ideal clients are children (ages 2 and up), adolescents, teens, and adults that are experiencing difficulties related to stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, self-regulation, adjustment to life changes and transitions, trauma, and grief. . I have spent much of my work focused on supporting those who experience depression and anxiety and want to improve their quality of life. I have spent many years working with clients diagnosed with Bipolar and schizophrenia. My passion is working with women of all ages through difficult transitions and life stressors in general.

i am a 30 year veteran of counseling and specialize in working with clients through Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR therapy among other modalities. I have experience in working with all populations and ages in a variety of settings.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and group therapy. In addition to more traditional counseling techniques, I also offer yoga, mindfulness, and EMDR therapies as a way to help clients work through distress and build resiliency.

There is no such thing as an ideal client. That is too boring. The way I do therapy is relaxed. I am not your average therapist, and I am not going to be like, "How does that make you feel?" but I am going to say, "What up! How are we doing today?" I believe that understanding what is going on internally can help to manage those symptoms, so I enjoy going over the brain and body’s threat response.
