You just want the pain, chaos, and emptiness you feel to go away once and for all. Whether it is eating secretly to comfort yourself, having to drink every night to sleep, pushing yourself to achieve, or isolating yourself. Attempting to balance family, work, and your self-care can feel overwhelming and tends to end with you feeling worse about yourself and how you can't get it together. Shame and guilt keep you stationary where you are, and if you had to admit that things were not where you wanted you might actually crumble. Let's figure out a new normal, together.

I blend cognitive behavioral therapies such as Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) with mindfulness-based therapies like Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior ( DBT) therapy, integrating meditation and yoga practices depending on your unique situation, preferences, and goals.
If OCD, anxiety, minority stress, or an eating disorder is steering the wheel, please know you don’t have to keep riding alone. As a queer therapist, I understand the unique layers these struggles hold for people in the LGBTQ+ community. Maybe you’re battling racing thoughts, compulsions, identity challenges, or disordered eating. You might replay conversations, overly double-check, or fight oppressive systems. You seek clarity and relief: to feel at ease in your mind and at home in your skin. To embrace and express your whole self without shame. To live an authentic life rooted in what matters—and I’m here to guide you there.

I draw from person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT), and trauma-informed care, always with a strong emphasis on multicultural competency and meeting each client where they are.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely understood— not just heard. Building trust is essential to my work, and I strive to create an empathetic environment where clients can explore their experiences openly, develop insight, and reconnect with their strengths at their own pace.

I believe the heart of therapy is connection. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Taking the first step is sometimes intimidating and I see therapy as a collaborative process where we will reflect and grow to create the change you want to see in your life. It’s important to me to meet you where you are at and let you set the pace for your healing! Outside of my role as a therapist, I enjoy being a mom to both my kiddos and pets, and I really enjoy reading and running when I can. I look forward to meeting YOU and walking alongside you on your journey.

I absolutely am passionate about encouraging others to make the time to nurture their mental well being and health, across all ages and populations. Adding the expressive and creative techniques I am trained in, accelerates growth and change by tapping into the right part of the brain and provides a fun and creative way to problem solve and engage with each other. The sand tray, storytellling, and expessive arts are for all ages and no talent needed, just an open mind. Traditional talk therapy is always an option and I meet each client where they are at for that session.

I specialize in working with adults and teens with ADHD who struggle with focus, motivation, emotional regulation, and self-worth. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and practical. Together, we’ll build strategies that actually work for you- whether that means tackling procrastination, managing relationships, or quieting that inner critic.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
