C.S.Lewis once said, " You can't go back and change the beginning but you can start where you are and change the ending". I believe that you must meet the client where they are currently. To provide a safe environment to alleviate crises, identify current needs, process past issues/traumas, and identify future goals for self. Also, to help clients learn to change negative behaviors/habits, to identify their own strengths, and develop positive coping skills in order to improve their quality of life. I believe your past does not have to define you but you can use it to propel yourself forward into the future that you hope to have.
Here at Alliance Counseling, we recognize that reaching out for help is not easy, but we're glad you're taking the first step! We like to say "peace out" to the stigma associated with mental health care because the value of taking care of yourself mentally is just as high as the value of physical wellness. We are a team of therapists, targeted case managers and community support associates with a mission to provide you with hope, the tools you need to reach your goals and an overall satisfaction with your life. With our team of over 40 trained professionals, we can match you with the services and providers that best suit your needs.
I have a variety of experience and look forward to meeting all types of people. I am very accepting of everyone. Whether it's depression, anxiety, court issues, family issues, couple issues or working with your children in behaviors. I love to help people find their path on the journey through life.
Are you losing your grip on life? Are feelings of hopelessness, stress, worry, or anger overwhelming you daily? Perhaps a loss of a loved one, an addiction, constant feelings of aggression or wanting to give up completely has made life unbearable. Using the most effective method of psychotherapy, I can help you change your thoughts to change your life.
The Challenge for anyone who wants to change is to find the inspiration and motivation to start and then the confidence to continue. Once you do, you will find that the blessings far outweigh any hardships it took to get there.

These are some of the reasons I love what I do as a therapist as my goal is to provide space to experience that therapy can be incredibly rewarding, beneficial, affordable, & even fun. My style? I meet you where you are, learn from your expertise in determining what you hope to accomplish, & then dive into the work with you to achieve your goal(s). Welcome! If you are reading this information, you have taken the first steps to a better you! We all get overwhelmed from time to time with external conflicts and internal battles. Psychotherapy is a beneficial tool to individuals experiencing emotional discomfort. My personal style is compassionate and welcoming, while also solution-focused and direct. My primary style is a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), however I integrate strategies from other approaches when necessary, including meditation and holistic approaches. My newest added therapeutic approach is EMDR.
Welcome, & congratulations on taking this step on your journey! I see the courage & strength that have brought you this far, & I am excited for the growth & healing ahead of you. First, I want to acknowledge that our community has many amazing therapists (with equally amazing bios), which can make it a bit challenging to determine who to contact. To help make the process easier, I offer free 10 minute consults where we can to get to know each other to say hello, touch on any questions you may have, & then opt to explore scheduling options if you feel working together to be a good fit.
What type of mental health professional is right for me?
Some of the most common types of mental health providers in Glasgow are psychologists, licensed counselors, therapists, psychotherapists, and licensed clinical social workers, all of whom diagnose mental health conditions and provide individualized treatment.
Services offered, education and credentials vary by type of mental health professional. Each professional in Glasgow then may specialize in certain areas, such as depression, marriage counseling, or anxiety. Although many mental health providers are not licensed to prescribe medication, they may coordinate with a provider who can.
Both in-person and online therapy sessions are available from most psychologists.
