We all have stress... Good news: there are many tried and true evidence-based-practice (EBP) approaches to help you get better and do better…no matter what combination of troubles! After losing my son-in-law to addiction and self harm, I decided to get a masters in mental health, and learn all I could… to treat the whole person: emotionally, spiritually, and physically - psychologically. It’s called integrated recovery. We are each uniquely complex and layered; so are our challenges. I wish to give you practical tools to navigate life’s challenges and to rise - learning to connect with others and embodying your best self.
Anxiety and/or depression often occur along with drinking or drugging, even when the substance is not the problem. Recreational drinking may become a problem after being used as a coping tool as we come to rely on the drink or drug for help. We need reliable tools that don't cause problems so we don't wind up adding to the dis-ease (often past trauma)
