You’ve been holding a lot—maybe for longer than anyone realizes. On the outside, you manage, show up, and keep things moving. But inside, it can feel overwhelming: relationship strain, family tension, anxiety that won’t quiet, old wounds that still get triggered, or a persistent sense that you’re “not enough.” If you find yourself people-pleasing, overthinking, shutting down, or reacting in ways you don’t fully understand, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep navigating it by yourself.
I’m a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2013, specializing in trauma, PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

We use psychoeducation, significant preparation, safe & supported sessions along with journeying, coupling the sessions with therapy (individual, couples, group) as well as music & somatic practices.
Our ideal clients are adults who feel weighed down by depression, anxiety, trauma, life, or grief & are ready for meaningful change. Many feel stuck in old patterns, disconnected from their bodies, or overwhelmed by life’s transitions. They seek safety, understanding, & a path forward that goes beyond talk therapy alone. They want relief from emotional pain, clarity of mind, and reconnection to their authentic self. Most importantly, they desire a holistic, compassionate approach, one that blends science, inner wisdom & consciousness, to help them heal, grow, and create sustainable shifts in their daily lives.

Licensed in Kansas & Ohio, I bring years of life experience & am trained in Gestalt techniques, EMDR, somatic psychotherapy, Grief Recovery Process, guided imagery, traditional talk therapy & Heart Centered Hypnotherapy.
Counseling is often thought of as something "weak people" turn to or something to use when you're "going crazy". In reality, counseling is a process that helps people deal with problems that occur with living our day-to-day lives. When life feels difficult or stressful, it often helps to talk with a person who listens well - to have a place where you can be heard and understood in a way that makes a difference. Counseling is that place; a collaborative process that can help you explore what's working well in your life and what you want to be different. With counseling, I want you to be able to live your most authentic life.

I work with adults in all phases of life who are navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, loss, or feeling stuck or unsure of their next steps. I also specialize in working with individuals embracing their strengths while navigating the challenges that can come with neurodivergence.

From the moment I meet someone I’m connecting with them in a vulnerable state yet I see their strength and potential to heal. I understand how hard it can be to push through life while struggling in a silent battle. Consider me your sparring partner. Working collaboratively with my clients strengthens me as a counselor and emboldens me to continue the work. I have worked with individuals from various backgrounds. I admire a client who is; willing to put in the work that therapy requires, someone who is willing to show up and be vulnerable, someone who is open minded and welcome to personal growth.

Have you always felt different, or like you’re working twice as hard just to keep up? Many of my clients are exhausted from years of overthinking, people-pleasing, masking, or trying to meet expectations that don’t fit who they are. I provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for adults with ADHD, autism, HSP, and giftedness; including those who are self-diagnosed or adjusting to a late diagnosis. Together, we build deeper self-understanding, practical strategies that work with your brain rather than against it, and relief from shame, anxiety, and chronic self-doubt.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
