Does anger, sadness or anxiety get in the way of your relationships, jobs or general happiness? I work with clients to process these feelings and the pain they can cause. We all carry baggage from our childhoods and pasts, worsened by the hardships we endure as adults and from the inevitable trials of daily life, but they do not define who we are. Anger is a common response to these issues but does not have to interfere with our lives. Having worked for over a decade as a first responder, I know first hand how trauma impacts us, especially in our ability to control impulses, frustration and anger. You do not need to suffer alone.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when life feels heavy, confusing, or hard to manage on your own. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have everything figured out.

If past experiences still affect how you react, relate, or feel inside, therapy can help you better understand those patterns and begin moving toward healing and healthier connection. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship conflict, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in recurring patterns, communication breakdowns, emotional shutdown, or conflict that keeps repeating despite wanting things to change.

I primarily use EFT and attachment theory, integrated with IFS principles.
I am a family focused clinician. This means I love working with couples, teenagers, and anyone experiencing difficulty in their family of origin. Pairing my clinical training with my lived experience of growing up around caregivers and relatives with mental health issues, this makes me an effective therapist for those needing guidance through complicated and nuanced family situations. I want to help you make sense of your own story, and discern healthier boundaries for you and yours going forward.
If you have felt chronically misunderstood, taken advantage of, made to be a scapegoat in family conflict — me too. I can help.

Our emotions are a part of our lives, and they can not disappear or be ignored. Struggling with emotions can lead to a wide variety of mental health difficulties. Your experience may be a numbing of emotions, which can lead to depression, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, or lack of drive. Or you may experience overwhelming emotions, which can lead to anxiety, PTSD, trauma responses, grief, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, or eating disorder behaviors. Either way, becoming whole-hearted and getting into good relationship with your emotions can lead to emotional relief and a more enjoyable and fulfilling life.

Something inside you is waking up and wanting more. You may feel tired of holding everything together while quietly losing connection with yourself. Many of my clients are caregivers, helpers, therapists, or deeply sensitive people who have spent years reading the room, supporting others, and pushing through their own needs. So capable on the outside, yet exhausted within. They often arrive after talk therapy has helped, but are still longing for deeper change. Our work gently reconnects mind and body, helping you understand your patterns, restore nervous system balance, and rediscover a more grounded, authentic way of being.

Change can be difficult, whether it's due to a choice you made or one you were forced to make. Whether you're a teenager, young adult, or currently navigating adulthood, I will use my experience to help you communicate more clearly and speak up for yourself. In sessions, we can address issues surrounding anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, chronic pain, and chronic health issues and work towards better symptom management.

Some that I use commonly are IFS, FST, CBT.
What does it mean to feel safety and connection? As motivated individuals we strive to have our social, emotional, and physical needs met. We strive to advocate for equity with ourselves, friends, families, and societal systems. The journey towards safety and connection can be overwhelming, tiresome, and different for each person. Have you ever pondered questions like… where do I start? When was a time I felt safety and connection? Do I feel whole? If you have asked yourself or other’s the above question, you might be ready to start to find those answers for yourself.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
