I think of therapy as a way of freeing ourselves from the obstacles which prevent us from moving forward in our lives. Frequently these obstacles present themselves to us in the challenges such as problems at work, difficult relationships, adapting to life changes, or in the sudden impact of a traumatic event. Sometimes what stands in the way of our freedom and happiness lies within us, as negative thought patterns, conflicting or confusing emotions, and unexpressed feelings--all of which can result in depression, anxiety, chronic illness, low self esteem--burdens we often carry alone.
My approach is to provide a therapeutic experience that is specific to you, which means I may incorporate one or more modes of therapy depending on your needs. As your therapist I work in a supportive, confidential, non-judgmental and empathetic way assisting you to negotiate the therapeutic process.
While we cannot always avoid the challenges that arise in our life, we do have a choice how to address them. I believe that there is much to learn from these struggles and that by facing them we create opportunity for making enduring changes in our life.

Groups
Anger Management Group
Too much anger can be costly. There is increased evidence that anger is a root cause of many other problems including health, relationships, marital dysfunctions, workplace disruptions, alcohol and drug relapse, and domestic violence. This group follows a well planned curriculum based on researched information. Participants will learn both how to express anger in a healthy way and how to reduce levels of anger especially in provocative situations. The group offers anger management skills and practical solutions. The group material consists of 12 modules which takes about 10 to 12 weeks to cover. . The program is also offered on individual basis.
