I believe that therapy can be a very difficult process, but with the right connection you are able to feel comfortable enough to let go and express negative thoughts/worries without fear of judgement. I have been working in private practice for the last 3 years, beginning in 2017. Prior to my experience in private practice, I worked for a non profit organization that focused on the stability and rehabilitation of the family unit. I am licensed in both Washington and Ohio as an independent clinician counselor. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University in 2014.
I work with clients to help them navigate everyday life experiences, past trauma/triggers and ways that we can cope through difficult emotions in the present. My style is based in mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a strength-based perspective.
It is very important to me that I work with all ages, diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I value working collaboratively with my clients as we work to increase self image, self value and improving their quality of life. I am an advocate for all clients and feel it's important to educate yourself on the experiences of those in diverse populations.
