Hi there! My name is Kristy and I'm a licensed therapist. I specialize in working with children, adults, and families who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, crisis, and trauma. I help by utilizing a strength-based and solution-focused approach. I believe everyone has inherent strengths. Identifying and utilizing personal strengths empowers individuals and promotes self-esteem and self-determination. I often utilize two very effective treatment modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
In our first few sessions, you can expect for us to get to know one another, become comfortable sharing your story, and work together to identify attainable goals. My practice is unique because I actively listen in order to really understand each person's perspective and my feedback is empathetic, non-judgmental, and practical.
I am passionate about this work because I am an advocate for accessible mental health care for children and families. Helping people see their inner strengths and work through challenges is incredible to watch. Being a support person and a small part of helping you heal is a privilege.
