My practice focuses on helping college students and adults gain better insight and coping skills to help manage problems in their lives. My goal is to be a helper with the change process. I help clients assess what is already working in their lives and help them make changes to areas that need improvement. My areas of strength focus on dealing with life transitions, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
My role as a counselor is not to change anyone but to match the client's desire to make changes in their life. I believe clients change themselves when they gain awareness, motivation, and strategies to solve their problems. I don't give advice. I help clients learn how to think differently and feel empowered to improve their situation.
I understand life can be hard and change can be scary. I offer clients a safe and comfortable space to practice how to deal with life's challenges. I offer clients a space to grow and learn how to enjoy life again.
