For adults, the echoes of childhood abuse, neglect, abandonment, and complicated attachment can create turbulence in our adult bodies, minds, identity, and relationships.
I naturally gravitate toward Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experience therapy. IFS allows a person to listen to the multi-dimensional aspects of the self with compassion, while Somatic Experience provides structure and exercises to tone the self's relationship with the body's cellular memory.
