Greetings! My name is Kristina Weltzin. I hold a License in Clinical Social Work and have been licensed for over 25 years. I offer brief solution-focused therapy for youth and adults. My approach to therapy is based on the needs and goals of the client. I believe in supporting clients identifying their goals for counseling and this discussion includes reviewing theoretical approaches to best meet their goals. I am trained in a variety of theoretical interventions including DBT, strength-based models, trauma informed and culturally sensitive models.
I work with youth and adults who may be interested in exploring counseling to regain a sense of balance in their lives. I am experienced working with emotional and behavioral symptoms including depression, anxiety, grief and life stage challenges.
I believe in creating and offering an emotionally safe environment for clients. We will begin with outlining the confidentially framework that ensures a safe space. I work with the client to support any questions about their counseling expectations and needs for the professional relationship prior to beginning counseling.
