I specialize in helping my clients gain or regain control of their lives. Sometimes we feel as though we are just going through the motions of life just to get by all the while, life is passing us by. Sometimes we are unhappy without understanding why or what to do about it. Sometimes we hold on to the troubling chapters of our lives and it denies us the ability to move forward and truly enjoy the rest of our lives. I work with clients to help them own the good, the bad, the ugly and all the messy parts in between parts of their lives so they can embrace their best selves.
I teach you how to control your reactions during those dark moments and offer concrete tools to better navigate life's ups and downs. I pull from the best practice techniques I have learned from my various experience and also specialize in EMDR. I have worked in a psychiatric hospital, community mental health as well as those facing the death penalty.
My experience has taught me how to work with people at their lowest and gain a sense of compassion that I don't think I would have gained otherwise. It has also taught me life situations do not define the destination. At any point we have the power to change or rewrite a new, favorable outcome.
