I see clients for: Play therapy (age 2 & up!), families, couples (marital, pre marital, other) or individuals! I have worked with children and families for 13+ years. I taught in the public schools for 6 years before leaving the classroom to work with children and families in a more intimate, counseling setting. As a therapist, I work with young clients who are having issues in school as well as home. I have training on attachment and bonding issues and frequently work with adoption triad cases (birth families, adoptive families, and adoptees). My clients range in age 2-adulthood!
I also see couples, families, and adult individuals providing marriage counseling, premarital counseling (certified through Prepare-Enrich), and counseling for step/blended families. I also provide sex therapy for married and premarital couples. I use an eclectic approach to treatment and can offer a Christian perspective whenever appropriate.
I have been trained by Drs Karyn Purvis and David Cross with the TCU Child Development Center in Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI) to work with families with children from a crisis or tough background. I am a 2013, 2016, & 2018 MOM-Approved therapist for Dallas Child Magazine!
