My name is Kristina Komori, and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Orange County and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in treating anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma, using evidence-based practices to support my clients with making progress and start feeling better. I have found that my style and approach are fitting for adolescents and young adults who may be struggling with life transitions and stressors which may emerge as anxiety, depression, and stress.
My approach to therapy varies on the needs of each client. I take mindful consideration of each client's background and strengths to create a more tailored plan to meet their goals. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
My communication style is calm and personable. I strive to foster an accepting, nonjudgmental environment for my clients to feel comfortable talking with me. To me, collaboration is key to setting goals with clients. It is my role to gain an understanding of what you would like to achieve during our time together.
